Host Thailand goes for gold
|
|
BANGKOK: Host Thailand is aiming for top spot on the medals table at
the 24th Southeast Asian Games starting this week and is gunning for
their eighth consecutive gold in the football competition.
The 10-day biennial showpiece officially opens
Thursday in the northeastern city of Korat, with attention also
focused on medal hopefuls ahead of next year’s Beijing Olympics.
