Transparency report inaccurate, says Palace |

But Senator Legarda believes low-level corruption is
common in government

Malacañang said the Transparency International
(TI) corruption survey, which ranked the Philippines as the
10th most corrupt in the world, may be inaccurate.
“Surveys have weaknesses and we want to leave
it to them [Transparency International]. Observe election surveys
with them in the past, there were candidates who fared well in
surveys but didn’t win but there were those who lagged behind in
surveys but won elections,” Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita
said.
