As Loan payments dip in November

RP debt remains a concern for Moody’s

DESPITE the downtrend in its debt levels, the Philippines’ outstanding financial obligations remain a concern for at least one of three key international credit rating firms.

In a letter to the Department of Finance, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said the country has not reduced enough of its debt. The BSP comment came ahead of a visit early January by a team from Moody’s Investors Service.
