SEVERAL interesting
tourism-related stories appeared in the dailies yesterday.The Manila
Times reported that a new theme park is rising at the Subic Bay
Freeport Zone to join other attractions in the business-tourism
area. The 50-hectare park will have amusement centers, a minicar
racetrack, a theater, a discotheque and a Halloween hall of horror.
The Daily Inquirer said the
Alaminos city government plans to link Lingayen’s famous Hundred
Islands (call them islets) with a network of transparent underwater
tubes. Tourists could walk through the tubes to view fish, corals
and varieties of marine life.
