DMCI unit to secure tax perks

DMC Urban Property Developers, Inc. has ventured into developing the first multistory residential condominium in Davao City called Ecoland 4000 Residences, the Board of Investments said Thursday.

The development is a joint venture of DMC Urban Property, a unit of the property giant DM Consunji Developers, Inc., and Dacon Corp., which owns the 4, 000-hectare lot where the building will be constructed.

DMC Urban will pour in a total of P45 million into the project, which is designed to address the need of middle-income families for affordable homes.

The Board of Investments said that commitments for the real-estate sector jumped 147 percent to P34.8 billion this year, with the DMCI Project Developers driving the investment growth rate by investing P1.15 billion in the development of a mass-housing facility.

DMC Urban said Ecoland 4000 “conforms with the P.D. 957 rules and standards … every unit will measure at least 42 and 51 square meters.”

The project will be constructed using the conventional system of installing dry walls for interior, concrete floor slab with ceramic tiles and wood parquet, aluminum-framed sliding glass windows, while doors will be made with core medium density fiber panel, and aluminum framed sliding glass door for units with balcony.
