Palace urged to recall order on Sumilao

Cancellation of the conversion order could open the floodgates of protest to pressure Malacañang

“The cancellation of the conversion order of the controversial 144-hectare property in Sumilao, Bukidnon which the Supreme Court already decided with finality may set a bad precedent.”

This was emphasized by former Masbate vice-governor Antonio Ag Medina on Thursday speaking for the NQSR Management and Development Corp. He added that the move would be perceived as “a threat to big- and medium-size tracts of land owned by private persons, entities and even foreign investors.”
