originality |

By Rome Jorge

hawkers of pirated DVDs, confiscation of shipments of fake designer
label bags, debates on online file sharing networks and plagiarism

photographers, performance artists and writers? You bet’cha. No to
none-payment by clients and rip-offs by copycats. Artists, know your
rights!

23, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IP Philippines)
unveiled the Alab [Flame] art space at its Makati office with its
exhibit Eros, but one show in an ongoing commitment to empower
artists on their creative rights. The exhibit, timed for month of
Valentine’s, also is part of this year’s National Arts Month.
The exhibit runs until April 30.
