Ilocos Sur to host
Olympic Festival |
|
Ilocos Sur will host the Northern
and Central Luzon eliminations of the second Philippine Olympic
Festival, a multi-sports event aimed at tapping talents in the
countryside, which will be held on March 5-11 in Vigan City.
A total of
3,000 athletes are expected to compete in 17 sports during the
weeklong tournament that will also put into focus the vital role of
the local government units in line with the Philippine Olympic
Committee’s talent identification program.
