US offers help in
slay probes |

THE US Ambassador to the
Philippines, Kristie Kenney, on Tuesday offered her government’s
help to investigate hundreds of extrajudicial killings in the
country, which have targeted mostly Left-leaning activists.
Kenny’s offer came after separate
investigations by the Melo Commission and UN Special Rapporteur,
Philip Alston, blamed the military for many of the killings.
