MELBOURNE: Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal cut a swathe through the third round of the Australian Open Saturday in a clear warning to rivals that it will take something special to beat them.
Former champion and No. 6 Martina Hingis was also in ominous form, as was No. 4 Kim Clijsters. But men’s eighth seed David Nalbandian needed five sets to polish off Sebastien Grosjean. |
