Stock market index nears ten-year high


PHILIPPINE share prices closed up on Monday, breaching another key threshold to hit its highest point in almost a decade, dealers said.

They said investors continued snapping up stocks on the back of the economy’s brighter prospects for this year, with telecom and banking issues benefiting from the buying spree.
