|
President Arroyo has signed into law a bill calling for the
automation of elections in selected areas for the midterm polls in
May.
The report said the President
enacted Republic Act 9369, amending R.A. 8436, or the Election
Automation Bill, on Tuesday. The amended law will provide guidelines
that will be followed by the Commission on Elections for the
implementation of the new system.
