Convergys Corp. a global customer care, human
resources and billing services, announced it has signed a six-year
contract to provide human resources business process outsourcing (HR
BPO) services to support the Asia-Pacific region of the
InterContinental Hotels Group.
“Convergys service centers in
Bangalore, India; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Dalian, China, will
provide HR data administration and payroll services for IHG
corporate and reservations center employees in the Asia-Pacific
region,” the company said in a statement.
IHG is the world’s largest
hotel group by number of rooms with recognizable hotel brands such
as InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels and
Resorts, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn
Express, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites.
“Our business in the Asia-
Pacific region is growing rapidly, and as such, we needed a partner
that can provide us with a scalable and cost-effective HR solution
capable of accommodating our rapid employee growth across this
diverse region,” Chris Paull, vice-president Shared Services,
Global Human Resources, InterContinental Hotels Group said.

Convergys’ Employee Care business said that HR BPO service
delivery model will ensure that IHG has ready access to information
