A city oasis

“The vast majority of people say they want to live near nature and lush greeneries.”

This statement from US-based publication Livable Places Update reflects how, for those living in cities, to have wide open landscaped grounds and to have nature within easy reach is the ultimate aspiration.

Community Innovations Inc. (CII), a wholly owned-subsidiary of Ayala Land, seeks to fulfill the city dweller’s dream of living close to nature with their first residential community project in Manila, the Celadon Park San Lazaro. Newly inaugurated, Celadon Park is a three-tower condominium community with a feature that is unique to it: 7,000 square meters of lush, landscaped open-space.

As proven by how property values rise in areas where a park is built, the global trend is to live in places near greeneries. Guided by this reality, Community Innovations was determined to build Celadon Park in the heart of Manila’s Santa Cruz district. Creating a development like Celadon Park in the middle of Manila therefore, was a conscious decision on the part of the company.

As Grace Santa Ana, project development manager of CII, explained, “Given Manila’s generally dense environment, we wanted to offer something new and unique—a breathing space. This is something rare since land values in Manila are high; offering greens and open spaces is not an option.”

Besides developing the 12,000-square-meter open space, the company, as Santa Ana pointed out, also deemed it important to equip the development with top-notch facilities to achieve the company’s oasis-in-the-middle-of-the-city vision for the development. As such, Celadon Park will have resort-style swimming pools, children’s outdoor play areas, picnic grounds, palm trees dotting the 7,000 square meters of lush greens at the ground floor, and a huge function room that can hold up to 200 guests. On top of this, it will also have an amphitheater, and a fully-equipped fitness center comprising an additional 5,000 square meters of open space on the 5th floor podium.

Ayala Property Management Corp.’s concierge and property management services will also be offered to complete what Santa Ana described as the “resort-like environment” CII wanted for the high-rise development.

The inauguration of the Celadon Park’s showroom and model units was held with a Mass celebrated by Fr. Makairog Reyes, SJ and a ceremonial signing of the design philosophy statements by the interior designers Ana Rocha and Cynthia and Ivy Almario.

The showroom and model units of Celadon Park San Lazaro is open for viewing near SM San Lazaro For inquiries, call 796-0888, e-mail cii-sales@ayalaland.com.ph, or visit www.celadonparksanlazaro.com.ph
