Mail & More earns last semifinal berth


AFTER three failed attempts, Mail & More finally delivered. Oddly, it was seldom-used Jim Viray and not one of the team’s big guns who made biggest play, scoring on a driving lay-up with only two seconds remaining as Mail & More outlasted Sista-St. Benilde, 53-52, in their quarterfinal match Tuesday in the 2007 PBL Silver Cup at the Olivarez Sports Center.

Just like so many other do-or-die matches in the league, yesterday’s game was tense and dramatic. But luck was simply on Mail & More’s side.
