Bedol arrested, is due in Manila


Lintang Bedol, the election supervisor in Maguindanao who has repeatedly ignored the summons to testify on alleged poll fraud in the province, has been arrested in Maguindanao and was scheduled to be flown to Manila Monday night.

The Philippine National Police had declined to give details on Bedol’s arrest. The PNP chief, Director General Oscar Calderon, also refused to reveal where Bedol was being held.
