Who’s it for: Mobile phone users who want it thin and light.

Wallet magnet: Great multimedia functions; fashionably thin and lightweight.

On second thought: Obviously, a RAZR copycat—only in appearance, at least.

What’s in the box: Nokia N76 mobile phone; battery; CD software; power adapter.

Tech Times verdict: Hundred thousands of RAZRs later, Nokia decided to make its own cutting-edge blade. Oh well, better late than never.


Viewsonic 22’’ VX2255WMB  

What is it: A 22” widescreen LCD screen.

Who’s it for: PC users who need a high-quality widescreen LCD monitor.

Wallet magnet: Clear and sharp widescreen display; built-in 1.3MP webcam; stereo speakers; nice piano-black finish; ViewSonic quality.

On second thought: Bad sound.

What’s in the box: ViewSonic 22” VX2255WMB LCD; VGA and DVi cables; CD software and USB cable for webcam; power cable.

Tech Times verdict: It’s always cool to have an LCD display on your desktop. Even cooler if it’s a ViewSonic.


Western Digital My Book Pro Edition II

What is it: A 1-terabyte external hard disk drive.

Who’s it for: SMBs and PC users with a great need for storage space.

Wallet magnet: Large 1 terabyte (1000 gigabyte) hard disk space; RAID 0 and 1 mirroring configuration for extensive data protection; powerful EMC Retrospect Express backup and disaster recovery software; works with Mac and Windows; renowned Western Digital HDD technology and quality; USB 2.0 and Firewire 400 and 800 connections; eye-candy design with small footprint; simple to use.

On second thought: A bit expensive.

What’s in the box: Western Digital My Book Pro Edition II; USB 2.0 and Firewire 400 cables; CD software; power supply.

Tech Times verdict: 1 terabyte! 1000 gigabyte! 1,00,000 megabytes! All this storage space. Wow!


Olympus Mju 770SW

What is it: A true waterproof and shockproof digital camera.

Who’s it for: Techies who love the outdoors.

Wallet magnet: Impressive shockproof, crushproof, freezeproof and waterproof functionality; large 7.1MP resolution; great image reproduction courtesy of high-quality Olympus lens; easy to use point-shoot digital camera.

On second thought: XD memory cards are expensive.

Tech Times verdict: No need to put your digital camera in a plastic bag while on the beach. Neat.
