Everybody said they couldn’t do
it, but the All Stars proved ’em all wrong!
Back in 2006, Filipinos did not
know much about the All Stars except for an underground crew of
hip-hoppers and club goers. Mislabeled as loud party kids or
rebellious dancers, this hodgepodge group of talented performers
from diverse backgrounds (but nonetheless, purely Pinoy) took the
world stage by storm and put the Philippines on the map by turning
out the global hip-hop scene as Winners of the 2006 World Hip-Hop
Championships.
Despite their talent, drive, and
desire to do the Philippines proud on the world’s stage, the All
Stars are pressed with the dilemma of lack of support and funding to
fly them to the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles,
California to defend their title this July 28 and 29.
