Supreme Court vacancy 
may be filled this Friday

PRESIDENT Arroyo has until Friday to choose the next associate justice that will occupy the lone vacancy in the Supreme Court after Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Gregory Ong’s appointment was derailed because of questions about his citizenship.

In a telephone interview, former Senate President Jovito Salonga said there were other names on the shortlist submitted by the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) that may replace Ong.
