CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga: The Tourism and Cultural
Affairs Office of Clark Development Corporation announced on
Thursday the Secretary Jun Ebdane Cup shooting tournament which will
be held from August 9 to 12 at the Clark Eagle Sports Shooting Club
range.
The four-day event, held in honor
of Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane of the Public Works and Highways, is
sanctioned by the International Practical Shooters Confederation and
Philippine Practical Shooters Association.
The tournament will also serve as
qualifying for the national shooting team which will compete in the
World Shooting Championship in Bali, Indonesia next year.
TCAO manager Noemi Garcia said
the holding of the Ebdane Cup hopes to promote Clark not only as an
investment haven but also as a prime sports-tourism destination in
Asia.
The Clark Eagle Sports Shooting
Club, which is a member of the PPSA and the International Practical
Shooters Club, is a regular training venue of the national shooters.
Modern rifles and handguns are also available at the firing range.
