Shariff Kabunsuan canvassing completed

THE Commission on Elections on Saturday completed the canvassing of votes from the province of Shariff Kabunsuan in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) despite heated debates between opposition and administration lawyers over incomplete data on the provincial certificate of canvass (COC).

Opposition lawyers Leila de Lima and Pancho Joaquin asked the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) to defer the tabulation of the COC since there was no record of how many of the 322,131 registered voters in the province actually voted.
