Palace urges polls for 13th Senate slot

A Malacañang official on Sunday urged the Commission on Elections to declare one Senate seat vacant to pave the way for special polls to determine who would fill it.

Sen. Alfredo Lim relinquishes his seat on June 30 to assume the mayorship of Manila. That will leave the Senate with only 23 members, one short of a full chamber.
