INSTEAD of peeling unsightly campaign posters off walls and fences, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority folk splash paint on them. The idea is to save time, money and labor. The posters stay, albeit under a thick coat of paint.

MMDA chairman Bayani Fernando said covering posters with paint also saves his men from passing cars and other types of accidents.
