SAN Sebastian College tries to get closer to a second
straight stint in the Shakey’s V-League final as it takes on La
Salle while University of Santo Tomas opens its semis bid against
Ateneo at The Arena in San Juan today.
The SSC spikers, who lost the
crown to the Lady Archers in the last conference, swept the Ateneo
side to notch their seventh victory against a loss as they seized
the solo lead after erstwhile joint leader Lyceum bowed to La Salle,
0-3, at the start of the single round, carryover semis phase last
Sunday.
But though San Sebastian whipped
the defending three-time champion La Salle in three sets in the
elims on May 29, the Taft-based tossers are expected to pour it all
out in their 2 p.m. encounter to slow down the Lady Stags and keep
their bid for a fourth straight championship alive.
