Steven Curtis Chapman returns to Manila

CONTEMPORARY Christian music legend and advocate for adoption Steven Curtis Chapman comes back to Manila for free concerts on June 29 at 7 p.m. and June 30 at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of Praise on Taft Avenue.

Chapman, a Grammy Award-winner and unmatched GMA Music Award (Dove Awards) recipient creates global awareness on the need for adoption of the less privileged children through his music. His platinum and gold albums under EMI-CMG/Praise Inc. includes: Speechless, Heaven in the Real World, Declaration, Greatest Hits, Music of Christmas, Signs of Life, The Great Adventure, More to This Life, For the Sake of the Call and All About Love.

His composition “I Will Be Here” has overtaken Chapman’s popularity in the local scene, becoming even larger than the artist himself. The well-received song has become a standard in the Philippine music scene—covered countless of times by various popular artists.

Chapman and his family have committed themselves to helping orphans worldwide. They have established Shaohannah’s Hope, an organization dedicated to overcome financial difficulties of prospective adoptive parents through providing financial grants. The organization so far has been able to provide 500 grants helping to make possible the placement of 500 orphans in families.

Seats will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors will be open two hours before the concert.

For admission information, call Cathedral of Praise at 521-0756 or
