THE radiant bride, resplendent in
her Frederick Peralta gown made of Mikado silk embellished with
caviar beadworks of select crystals and Swarovski stones cascading
on the detachable train, blushed unabashedly as she walked down the
isle, then shed happy tears when she saw her groom up close. The
groom chose to personally serenade his bride with the song
“Forevermore.” The famous father of the groom finally set the
records straight and referred to the man of the hour as “my
favorite son.”
These were the highlights of the
much talked about wedding of San Juan Mayor Joseph Victor Ejercito
and Ma. Hyacinth Barbara Lotuaco at the St. John the Baptist Church
in Pinaglabanan, San Juan, followed by an intimate reception at the
NBC Tent in Taguig.
The bride is 39, the groom, 37.
The wedding is proof that for everything, there is always a perfect
time and season, and it’s never too late to find true love.
The sponsors came in full force:
Mayor Jemomar Binay of Makati, Former Secretary Jose Pardo, San
Miguel honcho Ramon Ang, business magnate Jacinto Ang Sr., Susan
Roces-Poe, SM big boss Tessie Sy-Coson, Wyngard Tracy, Gilda Reyes,
Rita Jaico and Dra. Pilarica Ejercito.
The happy occasion saw the big
winners in the recent elections sharing this wonderful event with
JV, Cindy and their respective parents, former President Joseph
Ejercito Estrada, Guia Gomez (whom he lovingly referred to as ‘my
beloved’) and Mrs. Amelia Lotuaco. All smiles that evening were
Manny Villar, Loren Legarda, Chiz Escudero, Noynoy Aquino, Alfredo
Lim, Toby Tiangco, Sherwin Gatchalian, Peewee Trinidad, Freddie
Tinga and ER Ejercito.
The bride’s friends at Cathay
Pacific took their leaves just to attend the special day of their
colleague and fellow beauty queens like Lorna Legaspi, Luli
Enriquez, Mary Jane Umali and Dana Narvaez showed up in their best
designer gowns. JV’s dashing best man Ińigo Zobel, offered a
toast to the newlyweds.
JV and Cindy are on a 3-day Asian
cruise but they have to be home this weekend to celebrate Araw ng
San Juan. The couple has decided to schedule their “real”
honeymoon sometime next month, and they are looking forward to tour
Greece and Spain.
