Bito eyes WBO intercontinental title tonight


UNHERALDED Filipino campaigner Ryan Bito vies for the vacant WBO Intercontinental minimum weight crown against Thai banger Saengpetch Sor Sakulphan tonight at the Elorde Sports Center car park in Parañaque City.

The scheduled 12-round fight, which is supported by Ginebra San Miguel, PCSO and Outlast Battery, will be telecast over Ringside TV Boxing on ABC-5 every Sunday (2:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m).

The 18-year-old Bito has compiled a total of 12 wins as against six losses and two draws with four KO, while Sakulphan totes a 13-2 win-loss slate, with 10 KO.

In the main supporting bouts, Philippine No. 1 Mike Pareñas, a protégé of former world champion Gerry Peñalosa, battles Dondon Lapuz while Judefil Aclo collides with veteran Joebar Damosmog over eight rounds, plus a couple of six-rounders and four-round bouts. Admission is free.
