Power of colors on feng
shui and tasteful décor

Pink infant room walls, pink ladies’ rooms-these are normal. But pink prison cells?

Yes, they exist. Up to this time, the color pink is being used in some US jails to sedate violent prisoners. Likewise, in some hospitals, the traditional color white is being replaced with the color green, which is believed to have the healing power that other colors don’t have.

This is the power of colors: the ability to go beyond the being wall coatings and the ability to influence the subtlest workings of the human mind.

Harmony and balance, the basic principle of the ancient science of Feng Shui, also tells about the power of color-that harmony between the environment and the people who work and live in it includes the consideration of color associations. While the power of colors are evident, many people are having a hard time choosing the right colors to coat what and which-those that will not only comply with the tenets of Feng Shui but will also complement the owner’s personality and decorating preferences. Pacific Paint (Boysen) Philippines, the local paint manufacturer presents the lists of some common colors, their associations and the Chinese elements in which they belong to:

Water. Colors under the water element are complemented by colors under Metal, and are controlled by those under Earth.

Black is a powerful color that has positive association with contemplation, money and income. It is great for careers and can serve as backdrops for metal fixtures. Despite this, Black can also be negatively associated with depression. To control black, use colors under the earth element, like yellow. Use yellow as the primary paint in your walls and edge it with black, which will anchor the scheme and provide pleasing contrast to lighter colors.

Boysen Paints lets homeowners channel the energy in their very own homes with its various quality paint colors that go in different styles and suit different home materials. Choose the paint colors that best suit your personality and your needs, balance the Yin and Yang in your home, and start painting harmony!
