Generation Walkman steps up

YOUR father once put cassette tapes into them. Your elder brother fed them CDs. Now it’s your turn to download your digital music files into own Walkman. It’s your time. It’s your call. It’s your phone.

The newest generation of new Sony Ericsson Walkman phones are three of the latest in a line of mobile phones that first debuted August 2005 and that has since sold 20 million.

Music just got sexier with the 9.4 mm slim W880i Walkman phone. As thin as a standard music CD case, this sleek music marvel is Sony Ericsson’s slimmest phone to date. Designed with a brushed stainless steel finish in eye-catching variants of steel silver and flame black, the device seamlessly combines cutting-edge music portability with exceptional phone features, providing users with the full Walkman phone experience via one pocket-size gadget.

The merging of form and function has been Sony Ericsson’s trademark and the W880i stays true to this by packing in a wealth of phone features such as a 2.0 megapixel camera, and innovative applications like the Walkman Player 2.0 and Disc2Phone for easy music file management, navigation, transfer and playback. A 1GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) also comes in-box to enable music devotees to store up to 900 tracks, all these without compromising battery life as the W880i delivers up to 18 hours of music listening time while a Flight Mode feature allows the phone to be switched-off in mobile-prohibited environments.

It’s all about detail for multitasking Walkman model W610i. From detailed design to the detailed combination of mobile music player with credible digital camera, the hot new phone stores up 470 full-length music tracks on its 512 MB Memory Stick Micro. Available in Plush Orange and Satin Black, the W610i offers the TrackID music recognition application that notifies users of the track name, artist and album when recording clips of unknown music tracks. Top these off with a 2.0 megapixel camera with auto focus, video recording and playback, Sony Ericsson’s W610i Walkman phone is the incredible fusion of phone, camera and music player.

The W200i is the Walkman phone for all. Easy-to-use plus much-to-hear-and-see, Sony Ericsson’s W200i has a dedicated Walkman key to allow instant access to the music menu. Decked out in Rhythm Black and Pulse White with color-matched Stereo Headset HPM-64, it is also the first to feature Bass Reflex, an innovation that preserves audio quality even when the bass is turned up. With a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom, an integrated photo album, full HTML web browser, push e-mail, PC synchronization, infrared connectivity and video messaging, the W200i is a phone worthy of the Sony Ericsson Walkman phone heritage.
