Every March, Fire Prevention Month
is being observed, as mandated by Presidential Proclamation No.
115-A. Under the proclamation, each month is devoted to a particular
aspect of safety and accident prevention.
The activities
for the month are intended to heighten public awareness on how to
prevent and effectively respond to fires. During the month, seminars
and workshops on fire prevention, protection and suppression are
organized. In commemorating Fire Prevention Month, we are reminded
that we have a role to play in preserving lives and properties.
There are so
many ways of preventing fire. But we tend to almost always forget
about the basics — like the lighters that we use. Choosing a good
lighter can sometimes spell the difference.
Many of the
imported cheap lighters that are available in the market sacrifice
safety for lower prices. These lighters do not comply with safety
standards and therefore they could be found unsafe. Unlike BIC
Lighters which have met the ISO 1994 international safety standard
requirements.
Each BIC
Lighter undergoes more than 50 separate automatic quality checks. It
has a distinct feature of having a very stable flame and a reservoir
that can resist extreme drop tests and elevated temperatures. BIC
has been committed to sustainable, long-term safety programs for
over 30 years now.
Big Lighter is
a product of France and is available in a variety of vibrant colors
and stylish designs.
