RP drops on list of
top global services hubs |

THE Philippines’ rank as
preferred location for business-process outsourcing and call-center
operations dropped four notches as wages rose because of the
peso’s continued appreciation, according to a survey of
multinational companies by a foreign consulting firm.
In its Global Services Location
Index 2007, A.T. Kearney said Thursday that the Philippines dropped
from fourth to eighth place out of 50 countries considered
attractive locations for off-shoring service activities.
