DDoS: A global Internet problem 
the Philippines cannot ignore


A recent Internet security report ranks the Philippines sixth out of the twenty countries in the world studied to be suffering the most Internet attacks.

We have noted in our own studies that there has also been a significant rise in botnet activity in Asia as a whole, with 50 percent of infected PCs in the region, compared with 25 percent 18 months ago. Botnets including zombies—compromised PCs—that can be controlled from anywhere in the world and directed at any organization.
