Julianne: a woman with her own voice

THANK God she’s not another hyped-up “bossa-nova,” “acoustic” or “soul” diva. Major record label producers have been cynically force-feeding the music market with performers specifically packaged to satisfy the demand in certain musical trends. Most don’t write their songs and simply cover foreign hits. Self-proclaimed “bossa-nova,” “acoustic” or “soul” divas often don’t possess a deep understanding of their supposed genre.

So now we’ve got Julianne, a singer-songwriter from out of the blue, breaking ground with her debut album Grateful and its carrier single with music video titled “Tulak ng Bibig.”
