The country’s top four broadsheets, including The
Manila Times, join other leading newspapers from all over Asia in
Publish Asia 2007 Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Manila
Hotel.
Over 400 delegates from leading
newspapers in the region and some 300 local participants including
CEOs, presidents, CIOs, COOs, general managers, editors and writers
are expected to join IFRA Asia’s event.
Publish Asia is dubbed as the
number one networking platform in Asia. It is the first time that
the conference will be held in the Philippines.
This year’s theme is “Reinventing
for Today’s Business, Creating for Tomorrow’s Challenges.” It
aims to tackle the multifarious challenges the print media industry
faces today.
Another highlight of the
conference is the expo featuring some of the industry’s top
technology and service providers who will present their latest
product and service developments and offerings.
The Sixth Annual Asia Media
Awards Gala Dinner will also be held on the last night of the event.
The lineup of international
speakers include top executives from Telegraph Media Group.
Consulting Morris, Digital Works, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Google,
Rajasthan Patrika, Speurders, NI, Telesis Consulting Ltd., The Times
of India, Ifra Newsplex, JoongAng Ilbo, VG Multimedia,
International Newspaper Marketing Association, ABP Pvt Ltd and

Main organizer of Publish Asia
2007 is IFRA Asia, the Asian counterpart of the world’s leading
organization for newspaper and media publishing, which also has 10
other locations worldwide.
Ifra was organized in 1961 and
its headquarters are in Darmstadm Germany.
Supporting IFRA Asia in Manila is
a group of officers from among the leading publications in the
country, which is now known as Publish Asia 2007 Philippine
Committee.
The city government of Manila and
the Department of Tourism through the Philippine Convention and
Visitors Center, will also be coordinating with the committee and
will be rendering support for this first ever major newspaper event
in the country.
