Masbate governor faces disqualification raps |
|
The bid for a congressional seat of the incumbent and
three-term governor of Masbate is imperiled with the filing of
charges for cancellation of his certificate of candidacy and
disqualification with the Commission on Elections.
Masbate Gov. Antonio Kho is being
accused of material misrepresentation in his certificate of
candidacy as the record of his application for transfer of
registration revealed that it was filed on June 29, 2006, or 46 days
short of the one-year period required by the Constitution for
congressional candidates.
