CLARK, Pampanga: Victor Espiritu kept his almost half-a-minute lead and he is just hours away from crowning himself champion of the 2007 Padyak Pinoy.

The 31-year-old son of Malabon arrived at the sprawling Clark Freeport Zone here with a huge group of riders that include his closest pursuers to preserve his precious 29-second advantage for the yellow jersey to all but wrap up his title conquest in this edition of the annual summer bikathon presented by Tanduay, in cooperation with Wow Magic Sing and Air21.
