Commission on Elections nullifies proclamation of all
Maguindanao town executives; DILG installs new set of municipal
officials
|
|
KIDAPAWAN CITY: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Second
Division has nullified the proclamation of all incumbent officials
in Pagalungan, Maguindanao, due to missing election returns believed
kept by wanted Maguindanao election supervisor Lintang Bedol,
reported the Philippine News Agency on Monday.
In a resolution dated November 8, the poll body
cited as basis for the annulment the missing election returns from
the town’s 17 clustered precincts, which Bedol failed to present
during the canvassing of votes facilitated by the Comelec’s
National Board of Canvassers in connection with the May 14 mid-term
polls this year.
