Asean Summit expenses unresolved

Two firms in China supplied decorative lampposts allegedly with bloated prices

CEBU CITY: State auditors have ordered the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to justify 136 projects worth P1.525 billion for the Asean Summit in January that were pursued in violation of the procurement law, reported the Philippine news Agency on Monday.

The Commission on Audit (COA) warned that the payments made for these projects may not have been allowed.
