Governor belies COA report on Cebu’s debts
|
|
CEBU CITY: Progressive as it may seem, Cebu has piled up debts to
the point that it is now ranked fourth among the provinces with the
largest liabilities, records from the Commission on Audit (COA)
revealed.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia of Cebu said she
never expected the province she relentlessly “sells” to the
international market would incur liabilities reaching P864.63
million as of 2006.
