SINCE many of us stay online for hours, why not make it a stepping
stone for a possible career in video creation or filmmaking? Now,
you don’t have to join a reality TV search to get a step closer to
being the next hotshot filmmaker or music video director. Just log
on to www.nescafe3in1.com.ph and squeeze out those creative juices.
The country’s leading coffee
brand has launched its 3in1 Flicks online contest with great prizes
like 80G Ipod Videos and Macbooks waiting for the winning minds.
How to join
Once on the website, you will
find a specially made video-editing suite where creating a short
film or a music video is made as easy as click-and-drag. The
challenge is for you to whip up a 90-second film or a music video.
In making the music video, you have to use the Nescafé jingle sung
by Parokya Ni Edgar.
There will be two categories. In
the basic category, you are required to use the clips and editing
tools within the site to make the video via a drag-and-drop method.
For the advanced category, you may use your personal clips, music,
sound and editing tools to make the video.
Making the cut
You’ve probably uploaded a
million videos online already but this contest is giving you the
chance to be noticed—not just by the regular web surfers but by
film experts. Send in what you think are your best products as they
will be assessed by a panel that includes no less than acclaimed TV
commercial director Sid Maderazo; commercial and music video
director Pancho Esguerra; UP film lecturer, commercial director and
cinematographer Nap Jamir II; Publicis Manila creative director JJ
Henson; and Nestlé Philippines director of communications Noy
Dy-Liaco.
Here’s the challenge: infuse
the brand’s iconic red mug in your video entry. Show how Nescafé
3in1 enhances moments with barkada.
After finishing your video, you
have to upload them onto the Nescafé site. You can submit an
unlimited amount of entries for both the Short Film and Music Video
categories.
Deadline is October 25. For
details, visit www.NESCAFÉ3in1.com.ph.
