THE Philippine Tae Kwon Do Association will hold the Smart-Petron
national championships on October 6-7 at the Rizal Memorial
Coliseum.
PTA president Robert Aven-tajado said around
1,000 players aged 13-14 and 12 years old and below will compete in
the tournament which is part of PTA’s grassroots development
program.
“We start them young. Even at 4 years old,
they already get the chance to participate and show their wares,”
said organizing committee chairman Sung Chon Hong.
The two-day event is supported by Smart
Communications, Petron, PLDT, Philippine Sports Commission, Accel
and Milo.
