House bill to plug loophole in milk code

Milk formula makers should not be allowed to use the same brand name for their products marketed to infants and older children, since this allows them to also advertise their infant formulas.

This is what House Bill 1827 seeks to correct, by clarifying an unclear provision in Executive Order No. 51, or the Milk Code, which seeks to promote breast feeding, and specifically bans the advertising of infant milk products.
