DepEd violated own rules–COA

Action leaves some areas with acute classroom shortage

If the Department of Education has problems addressing the classroom shortage, it’s probably because the department prioritized constructing buildings in areas where the need was less acute.

DepEd built 22 school buildings worth P28.67 million in low-priority areas in six regions, in violation of its own school-building policy, according to the Commission on Audit (COA).
