Ermita insists notes on ZTE not for public |
|

The minutes of
National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) about the
controversial broadband deal awarded to ZTE Corp. are covered by
executive privilege and thus can’t be made public, Executive
Secretary Eduardo Ermita said.
Earlier, Romulo Neri
said the documents of NEDA—where he was formerly the director
general—are about its final decisions and are public in nature.
That statement runs counter to the position of NEDA current chief
who said the documents are covered by executive privilege.
