JAKARTA: A 12-year-old Indonesian boy died of bird flu Saturday,
raising the toll in the nation worst affected by avian flu to 88,
the health ministry said.
The boy, who tested positive for the H5N1 virus,
died in a hospital here at 7:30 a.m., said Nirwan, a staffer on duty
at the health ministry’s bird flu information center.
BEIJING: China’s Prime Minister Wen Jiabao sent his
condolences to Myanmar Saturday following the death of his
counterpart Soe Win, state press reported. Wen sent his message to
Myanmar’s acting Prime Minister Thein Sein, Xinhua news agency
reported.
