Definitely skin deep

By Lea Manto-Beltran

FOR many women, having beautiful skin boosts their confidence. However, with regular use of makeup and unavoidable exposure to pollutants and other impurities in the environment, achieving clean skin with just one product remains almost impossible for many women.

“After a hard day’s work, most women do not know that they do not thoroughly clean-up or remove their makeup. Some products contain comedogenic ingredients, or substances that are known to clog pores, causing acne and other skin problems. That is why it is very important for us to be sure that we have removed all our makeup before we dose off at night,” shares Abbygale Arenas-de Leon, beauty queen turned beauty consultant at the launch of the two additions to the Neutrogena’s Deep Clean range of products, namely the Cleansing Lotion and the Gentle Scrub, which claims to get rid of stubborn blackheads.

“Women can now easily enjoy the thorough cleansing that they desire by using any one of the four new facial cleansers. After all, deep cleansing is the most important step to having healthy and naturally beautiful skin,” Francine Catibayan, Neutrogena brand manager, added.

On the same occasion, Johnson & Johnson also announced its newly formed Beauty Care Franchise that will house the Neutrogena and Clean & Clear brands and likewise unveil two new products: the Oil Control Film line to keep the face looking oil-free, clean and fresh; and the Powdered Oil Control Film with SPF 19 (yellow variant) and Scented Oil Control Film in Pink Grapefruit (pink variant).

“With this new franchise, we strive to be recognized also as a company that provides the best and most effective products that care for the skin-care needs of teenage and adult Filipinas,” says Tere Chong, group brand manager of Johnson & Johnson’s Beauty Care Franchise.
