LIPA CITY: Nakul Vichittryuthasastr of Thailand fired a bogey-free four-under-pay 68 Wednesday to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Asean Golf Tour’s Philippine leg at the Malarayat’s composite layout here.

The 25-year-old was perfect on a tough day at the Mounts Lobo and Malipunyo nines to lead local bet Danny Zarate by a shot and be three-up on a slew of other homegrown talents that included the flamboyant Artemio Murakami.
