Whistleblowers to receive rewards

By James Konstantin Galvez, Reporter

Three million pesos will be given to anyone who can give information that can lead authorities to the perpetrators of Glorietta Mall bombing last Friday.

Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay and business groups in the Central Business District also vowed to give out one million peso-reward-money.

Binay’s councilor-son Jejomar Binay Jr. on Saturday said that the Makati City government and the rest of the business groups in Makati will shell out money to those who could pinpoint or give vital information on the identity of the bombing, if the incident is done by terrorists.

“This [bombing] case is not yet conclusive. But if ever this was an act of terrorism, then we will raise money worth P1 million,” said the younger Binay.

Earlier, National Capital Region Police Office Dir. Geary Barias announced that President Gloria Arroyo will give a reward of P2 million for anybody who can give info on the suspects in this incident that happened in Makati.

Ayala Lands Inc. had expressed their deep condolences to the families of the victims of tragedy, ensuring the public that they are “extending their outmost care and maximum treatment to the injured and the families of those who were killed in this tragedy.”

“We at Ayala Land were deeply saddened by Friday’s explosion in Glorietta 2. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families affected by the tragedy,” said Jaime I. Ayala, president and chief executive officer of Ayala Lands Inc.

“Our primary concern now is the well being of the injured and those who were killed and the families affected by this tragedy. We have been monitoring closely the status of the injured,” he added.
