NOT out of jurisdictional jealousy but for valid reasons does Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez seek the abolition of the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC).

In an exclusive interview, Ms. Gutierrez told The Times that the commission is powerless and unnecessary because it duplicates the work of the Office of the Ombudsman. How powerless? She said the commission often had to seek from her office important documents needed for investigation.
