Palace insists all is well 
between GMA, Speaker

President Gloria Arroyo and House Speaker Jose de Venecia are working to settle their differences and save the ruling coalition, contrary to reports that the House Speaker is going to be replaced soon.

“President Arroyo, House Speaker de Venecia and former President Fidel V. Ramos met last week in Malacañang to address the problems within the coalition. The rumors that the House Speaker will be ousted have no basis,” Cabinet Secretary Ricardo Saludo said.
